Our Team:
Eric Oltman, Owner – eric@cssscorp.com
Carolina Senior Services Corporation is owned by Eric Oltman. He and his wife Cory have 4 kids in their late teens and early twenties and have been supporting their aging parents for more than 15 years. Eric grew up in a multi-cultural home as his Mom was French from North Africa and his father was an American serviceman after World War II. Cory’s parents grew up in Nebraska but moved to Southern California during the late 1950s. Eric and Cory met at school in Pittsburgh.
Eric and Cory’s interest in helping seniors grew from their experience helping their parents. Eric’s Mom had alzheimer’s and dementia and his dad recently turned 89 but is still living nearby on his own. Cory’s dad had esophagus cancer and her Mom is currently progressing down the dementia path. Eric and Cory (and their siblings) have faced many issues and wanted to help others who are facing similar issues.
Eric said recently, “We realize that everyone’s situation is unique and hard and sometimes even heart breaking and we just wanted to help.” He finds that just spending time with his dad seems to be what his dad likes the most (that and eating chocolate pudding).
Virginia Musselman, Executive Assistant – virginia@cssscorp.com
Virginia Musselman was born in Richmond, Virginia and was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas where she developed a love for family and helping others. She lived with her great-grandfather for a short time as a child and enjoyed being with him and hearing about the “old days.” Virginia served as a missionary to Romania for five years teaching children and youth about character development. She earned a BA in English from Thomas Edison State College and moved to North Carolina in 2007 to work as a first grade teacher’s assistant in Chapel Hill. She began sensing a call to ordained ministry in her early 30’s and was ordained a deacon in the Anglican church in 2011. She completed her Master of Divinity degree from Regent School of Divinity and is currently in the ordination process to become a priest. She and her husband John of 2 years are expecting their first child in September, 2016. In addition to her work with Seniors Helping Seniors, Virginia currently serves as a deacon at Church of the Holy Cross Anglican in Raleigh.
